This year we are "Canning Fun at the Russell County Fair & Horse Show". Healthy Foods Make Healthy Families -- our special emphasis on the wonderful, healthful, home-grown products available through our local farmer's markets.

Many fun activities are planned, so keep your eye out for all the news!!!!

The Russell County Fair and Horse Show is held annually the first week in September at the Russell County Fairgrounds in Castlewood, Virginia. The Russell County Fair features an array of events, something for everyone of any age to enjoy. Events include a carnival, scholarship pageant, horse shows, bull riding, livestock events, horseless cowboy contest, car show, demolition derby, antique tractor pull, truck and modified tractor pull, paintball tournament, pet show, and entertainment showcasing local and nationally known entertainers including country, bluegrass and gospel performances.
